Reva Grimball is a writer, director, and teaching artist from Austin, Texas, living in New York City. She is a Saturday Night Live Scholarship recipient for writing and is an alumni of the Diverse as F*ck (DAF) & The Onion writing program. She created the Drunk Bathroom Girl TikTok series, which won Best Original Concept at NYC Web Fest in 2024. She also writes on the Gold Digital Comedy team Apocalyptic Optimism, is a freelance writer for Cracked.com, is a reader at The Table Read Co., heads the Director Program and directs at the independent sketch comedy collective BoogieManja, and teaches comedy writing at UCB and The Second City.
Before comedy and theatre, Reva trained as a biologist studying nematode neural pathways, virulence factors in pathogenic yeast, and gamifying sexually transmitted infection testing (in which she’s published). She holds a Master of Public Health in Infectious Disease and Vaccinology from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Edward’s University. In her free time, she likes reading space operas, participating in citizen science, making puppets, and playing taiko (Japanese drums).
